Our client, a manufacturer with a global presence and over 80 years of success developing innovative products utilized in a plethora of critical industries, is seeking a Quality Engineer to support their product manufacturing operations. This position is a crucial role within the engineering team to ensure products meet the quality, safety, and customer requirements.
Required education/experience:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering with a minimum of one year supporting manufacturing, production part approval processes, and first article inspections
Understanding of GD&T and experience with measuring techniques used to validate product specifications
Worked with vision systems and has capability to create inspection programs to support these systems
Ability to conduct Gauge R&Rs
Can utilize ISO, AS, or IATF standards to conduct internal and supplier audits
Preferred education/experience:
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or industrial engineering with quality engineering experience in heavier regulated environment like aerospace, automotive, or medical device.
Experience conducting root cause and corrective action using techniques such as fishbone diagrams, 5Whys, or 8D
Utilizes statistical process controls to implement measures to ensure product conformity
Excels working with operators to provide feedback to help ensure parts meet specifications
Experience working with material review board to address non-conforming parts
Knowledge of advanced part quality planning
