Summary
The Quality Assurance Technician is responsible for accurately monitoring and enforcing PDs standards for design, inbound raw materials, work-in-process (WIP) and finished goods. They assure consistent quality of production by assisting in the development and enforcement of good manufacturing practices.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities
Executes quality assurance plans by monitoring, verifying, and validating processes and products.
Inspects raw materials and finished goods, gathers data, and provides documentation.
Separates nonconforming raw materials, prevents escapes to customer, and initiates corrective actions.
Enforces quality standards, identifies problems, and completes audits.
Contributes information to Inspection plans, reviews, system improvements, and enacting changes when needed.
Maintains and improves product quality by completing prototypes and first article inspections.
Collaborates with others to validate new products, engineering designs, manufacturing, and training methods.
Collects, analyzes, summarizes and organizes completed inspection information to enter into QMS/Quality system.
Fosters a culture that values family, innovation, collaboration and empowerment.

Education/Certification
High school diploma (or equivalent)
Experience
Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred, but not required.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
Walking, sitting, bending, twisting, reaching, pushing, pulling and lifting up to 50 lbs. may be required throughout the workday.
Required to have a valid drivers license and a vehicle. Movement between various company sites throughout the day (and week to week) is required.
