Purpose of the Position
The Quality Tech I performs in process inspections. They ensure compliance with required engineering specifications and/or applicable standards. The Quality Inspector I is responsible for reporting and assisting with disposition of non-conforming product.
The Position reports to the Quality Supervisor at Milwaukee Tool
Job Description:
Duties and Responsibilities
Ensuring packaging requirements are met by completing end of line inspection
Escalate quality issues so they can be fixed in a timely manner
Ability to read and understand provided work instructions
Effectively communicate across shifts and work within team
Perform basic shop math, such as fraction to decimal conversion, arithmetic and units of measure conversion, basic statistics,
Problem solving abilities, interpersonal skills, and the ability to manage interruptions is required
Consciously abide by all safety policies and procedures to create a safe working environment
May be assigned special projects and other duties
Education and Experience
High School or GED diploma required
One (1) year of previous Quality Technician experience preferred
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Excellent attention to detail
Physical Demands & Work Environment
The employee may be required to frequently lift, carry, push or pull up to 50 pounds
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus
Prolonged standing of eight or more hours a day
Occasional bending, crouching, twisting, and reaching
Employees will be required to wear the proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in certain work cells
