Description:
Pay Range: $65,000 – $85,000

Summary: Responsible for ensuring Quality Management System (QMS) adherence, plant-wide product conformity to customer requirements, supplier accreditation compliance, supplier product/ process conformity, collecting and analyzing of SPC& other collected data into Pareto for the purpose of maintaining/ implementing appropriate processes controls, assisting in 5S practices and the growth and development of the Quality Department and its personnel.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Lead the Quality Department in accordance with accreditation & customer requirements, and plant policies, procedures, and practices this includesData input to Cost of Poor Quality (HOLD LOG)
Create & communicate Quality Alerts
Inventory counting & analysis on rejected product
Change parts and start cycle on CMM for inspection
Communicate department needs based on production meeting, APQP meetings, and CAR meetings
Develop measurement strategy for layouts and capability
Responsible for MSA of measurement devices
Analyze measurement results for applying corrective action to strategy, device, training etc
Payroll, PTO approval, adjustments/corrections
Recruiting, reviews, personnel development, disciplinary action
Design measurement methods techniques.
Establish capability requirements / conduct & analyze capability data
Oversee, lead and manage the Corrective Action Process
Establish and Maintain Layered Audit and System Audit processes.
Develop Training Programs / strategies for production
Primary Contact & Liaison for Customer issues /complaints.
Other Qualifications:
Specific knowledge of conventional metal stamping, robotic MIG, projection, and spot welding
Specialized knowledge of Automotive 2MS
Certified in SPC
Preferred certification at some level in 6-Sigma applications/theory
Strong ability to interpret blueprint GD& T
Understanding of MSA
Experience with CMM techniques/ interpretation
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Directly supervises employees in quality and sort. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor’s degree (B. A.) from four-year College or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 10 years prior essential duty related experience in manufacturing. Also, four years specific to management in related manufacturing function
