This is a full time exempt opportunity. the target compensation for this role is a base salary of $60,000 – $70,000. This position can be done remotely based in the US.

SUMMARY:

The QA Tester plays a critical role in the growth and success of Xactus by assuring quality across its SDLC process, platform applications and services. Being a SME for all things quality, enables Xactus to deliver on its key objectives, core values and first-rate end-to-end customer experience. This hands-on role applies significant industry and product knowledge, Agile testing methodologies, and QA best practices to successfully deliver quality software releases of new innovative products and integration solutions, while preventing critical defects and issues.

The QA Tester follows clearly defined test plans, test cases and story acceptance criteria to carry out test execution on new and existing features. They leverage their product and industry knowledge in combination with QA best practices and testing methodologies to assure delivery of high-quality products through continuous delivery and improvement.

The QA Tester is the custodian of quality and “voice of the customer.” They are accountable for the delivery of exceptional product quality and a flawless end-user experience. This role is critical in bringing together quality processes and technologies that drive the Xactus’ vision and achievement of delivering quality products to market.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Partner with the Director of QA and QA Tech Lead to ensure testing initiatives are being delivered on time while ensuring high quality releases.
Apply domain and industry knowledge along with QA best practices in test execution, bug and defect reporting and documentation of test results.
Serve as the “voice of the customer,” by testing from a user’s perspective, converting product requirements and acceptance criteria to test cases assuring a first-class user experience across all applications and services.
Partner with the Director of QA and QA Tech Lead to Identify and highlight cross-functional impacts of development delivery and downstream and/or unintended impacts or risks to be mitigated.
Be the “custodian of quality” in internal and stakeholder meetings (e.g., Planning, Refinement) by seeking and providing clarity, risk assessment, estimation, and collaboration between teams and planning functions to improve delivery velocity and quality of products.
Possess an exceptional attention to detail along with analytical and problem-solving skills to ensure the highest standard of test and product quality.
Build cross-organizational awareness of issues and readiness for software releases through communication with development team and stakeholders ensuring a smooth release process of high-quality products and features for our customers.
Partner with the Director of QA to deliver on quality goals that support the overall test strategy, organizational KPIs, and the QA team’s process and procedures.
