POSITION SUMMARY
The Quality Systems Manager leads and maintains CIBS’s Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring processes, documentation, and quality controls support consistent execution across the organization. This role drives compliance with ISO 9001:2015 requirements, strengthens quality processes, and partners with cross-functional teams to address systemic issues and improve overall quality performance. The position provides leadership and accountability for the continued effectiveness and improvement of the QMS.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead, maintain, and continuously improve the company’s ISO 9001:2015-certified Quality Management System, ensuring processes remain effective and aligned with applicable requirements.
- Manage internal audit activities, QMS documentation, corrective actions, nonconformances, and related quality records to support compliance, traceability, and timely resolution of issues.
- Coordinate external ISO audits and certification activities, including audit preparation, responses to findings, corrective actions, and ongoing certification requirements.
- Partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Project Management, and other functions to identify process gaps, strengthen controls, and integrate quality requirements into business operations.
- Analyze quality trends, audit results, nonconformances, and other performance data to identify systemic issues and recommend corrective or preventive improvements.
- Establish and monitor quality objectives, metrics, and reporting to evaluate QMS effectiveness and provide management with clear visibility into quality performance and risk.
- Promote consistent quality practices by providing QMS guidance, supporting process owners, and helping teams understand and effectively implement applicable quality requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality systems, quality assurance, or quality management within a manufacturing, engineering, fabrication, or comparable technical environment; experience managing an ISO 9001-certified QMS preferred.
- Education: High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree in quality, engineering, manufacturing, business, or a related discipline is preferred.
- Technical Skills: Working knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 requirements, quality management systems, internal auditing, corrective action, nonconformance management, document control, and quality performance analysis; experience supporting external certification audits preferred.
- Soft Skills: Ability to communicate quality requirements clearly, lead cross-functional problem-solving, organize competing priorities, influence process owners, and communicate effectively with employees and leadership; bilingual preferred.
- Licenses and Certifications: Quality or auditing certifications relevant to ISO 9001 are preferred.

SCHEDULE
The standard schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with flexibility in start and end times based on position, department, and operational needs.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
This position primarily requires sitting, standing, walking, and working at a computer for extended periods. The employee must be able to move throughout office and manufacturing areas to conduct audits, review processes, and collaborate with employees. Work may occasionally require appropriate PPE and exposure to normal manufacturing conditions, including noise, moving equipment, and varying temperatures.
