Position Overview: FLG Technics is seeking a skilled Composite and Structural Aerospace Experienced Mechanic/Inspector. This dual-role position involves receiving aircraft parts for maintenance or repair, conducting inspections, and ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards. The ideal candidate will provide detailed inspection and compliance reports, identify quality issues, and recommend corrective actions to mechanics and maintenance teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Receiving and Inspection:
Receive composite and structural aircraft parts intended for maintenance or repair and perform detailed inspections to evaluate their condition.
Utilize specialized tools and equipment to assess parts for defects, damage, and compliance with specifications and standards.
Document inspection results and maintain accurate records of received parts.
Quality Issue Identification:
Identify quality issues or discrepancies in parts and evaluate their potential impact on aircraft safety and performance.
Collaborate with engineering and quality assurance teams to determine root causes and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
Communicate identified issues clearly and effectively to relevant stakeholders.
Reporting and Compliance:
Prepare comprehensive inspection and compliance reports detailing findings, quality issues, and recommended corrective actions.
Provide mechanics and maintenance teams with clear guidance on implementing corrective measures in alignment with safety and quality standards.
Ensure all documentation is accurate, complete, and adheres to regulatory requirements.
Safety and Standards:
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of aerospace safety and quality standards, ensuring all inspection activities comply with these guidelines.
Promote a culture of safety and quality awareness within the organization.
Stay informed on industry regulations and best practices, integrating them into inspection processes.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in aerospace technology or a related field preferred.
Proven experience as an aerospace mechanic, with a focus on composite and structural components.
Strong knowledge of aerospace inspection techniques, quality standards, and safety regulations.
Proficiency in using precision measuring tools and inspection equipment.
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information effectively.
