A market leading electro-mechanical manufacturing business based in Eastleigh are currently recruiting a Quality Team Leader to join their business on a permanent basis.
This role will be leading a team of three responsible for the inspection & test of components and sub-assemblies. This role will remain hands on, but you will be responsible for overseeing processes and identifying and making improvements that could benefit the wider department.
Key responsibilities include;
Ensuring all products meet Quality standards and striving to achieve first time pass rate
Support production operatives with any quality concerns they might have or with technical advice
To record, report on errors and quality concerns, and any repeat issues that can be communicated back into the relevant areas to prevent repeat errors.
Managing return requests within the Quality Control team ensuring reports are completed accurately
Support with personal ongoing training and development of the Quality team
To be considered for the position of Quality Team Leader candidates will have a proven background in Quality inspection / test within a manufacturing environment. Previous leadership / mentoring or supervisory experience is also required however, this does not have to have been gained in a technical environment. Any previous exposure to working in an environment where LEAN / CI / Six Sigma processes have been implemented would be highly advantageous but not essential.
