JOB TITLE: Quality Tech
REPORTS TO: Quality Manager
FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt
SUMMARY: Quality Tech performs all day to day required inspection and testing on Finished Product. The Quality Tech performs their duties as if they are the owner of the company and makes safety, quality and production the top 3 areas of focus, in the order listed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Attend the daily stretch and bend meeting with the entire shift.
2. Assure that all company Safety Program Policies are being followed at all times.
3. Inspects product for defects and helps repair or rework as needed. Both in plant and outside staging areas.
4. Performs thickness checks on finished product. Ultrasonic and Calipers.
5. Performs crush tests in the lab as required.
6. Performs testing requirements for MPR for internal materials and material processed for others.
7. Melt, Density and IZOD testing on Silo sample.
8. Perform required testing on samples received for possible purchase as assigned.
9. Keep lab clean and organized
10. Enters data on various test reports.
11. Send line test reports out when QC manager is out of the office
12. Job requires the safe operation of fork lifts and yard tractor
13. The ability to spend the majority of the day walking and standing while doing job duties and inspection.
14. Requires frequent trips outside to the staging area to inspect products
15. Maintain a clean and safe work area.
16. Perform other related duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
1. Self-motivated honest person that does not need a lot of supervision
2. Good people skills
3. Dependable and team oriented
4. Able to learn new skills (previous inspection equipment experience preferred)
5. Above average Mathematical skills
6. Ability to lift 50lbs.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
1. Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
2. 1-3 years in manufacturing
3. 1-3 years of quality control
