Join our dynamic quality assurance team as a Quality Tech II, where your expertise will drive excellence in manufacturing processes and product integrity. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring that all products meet rigorous quality standards, comply with regulatory requirements, and uphold our commitment to delivering safe, reliable, high-quality solutions. Your keen eye for detail and mechanical aptitude will support continuous improvement initiatives and uphold the integrity of our manufacturing systems.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

· Perform incoming, in-process, first-piece, final, and other dimensional inspections as required.

· Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, GD&T, specifications, and inspection requirements.

· Operate and interpret results from inspection equipment, including optical comparator, micrometers, calipers, height gages, indicators, pin/thread gages, and other precision measuring equipment.

· Provide technical support for dimensional inspection using equipment such as optical comparators, micrometers, calipers, height gages, indicators, and other precision measuring equipment.

· Maintain the company’s gage database and calibration system, including calibration status, due dates, records,

· identification, and control of inspection equipment.

· Identify and appropriately address out-of-calibration or damaged gages.

· Develop, review, and maintain Control Plans, PFMEAs, work instructions, inspection requirements, and quality

· documentation

· Support preparation, review, and maintenance of PPAP documentation, including dimensional results and supporting quality records.

· Perform and evaluate Measurement System Analysis (MSA), including Gage R&R studies.

· Identify nonconforming products, investigate and coordinate containment, disposition, corrective action, and verification of effectiveness.

· Participate in structured problem solving and root-cause analysis using tools such as 5 Why, Fishbone/Ishikawa, and corrective-action methodologies.

· Assist with customer and internal quality concerns and verify effectiveness of corrective actions.

· Conduct and participate in internal quality system, process, and product audits, document findings, and assist with follow-up activities.

· Support SPC and process capability studies, including Cp/Cpk analysis where applicable.

· Ensure quality records and documentation are accurate, controlled, and maintained in accordance with the Quality Management System.

· Communicate quality concerns promptly and professionally to Production, Quality and Management.

· Support continuous improvement efforts focused on reducing defects, improving processes, and preventing recurrence.

· Follow company safety, quality, and housekeeping requirements.

· Perform other quality-related duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

· 3+ years of quality inspection or Quality Technician experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.

· Experience maintaining a gage calibration/database system i.e. GagePack.

· Hands-on experience with an optical comparator and precision measuring equipment.

· Working knowledge of PPAP requirements and documentation.

· Working knowledge of MSA and Gage R&R.

· Experience with root-cause analysis, corrective action, and structured problem solving.

· Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and dimensional tolerances.

· Strong attention to detail, organization, documentation, and follow-through.

· Ability to communicate effectively with production employees, supervisors, management, customers, and other departments.

· Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and electronic quality records/databases.

· Familiarity with IATF 16949 and/or ISO 9001 quality systems is preferred, particularly for an automotive manufacturing

· environment

· Previous internal audit experience preferred.

· Working knowledge of GD& T preferred.

Pay: $20.00 – $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
