Quality Technical Advisor – 2nd Shift Jobs in Grove City, PA at Wabtec
Key Responsibilities
New Product Development and Project Quality Management
Oversee the quality management process for new products from development to mass production, including product testing and verification, optimization and improvement, test standards, and related documentation.
Execute product quality planning and prepare corresponding control plans (CP), standard operating procedures (SIP), and measurement guidance documents.
Coordinate the completion of product test reports, identify and analyze issues during testing, and propose improvement suggestions and optimization plans.
Supplier Quality Management
Analyze and resolve quality anomalies in supplier materials, follow up on 8D reports, and guide and supervise suppliers in implementing corrective actions.
Lead the development and evaluation of new suppliers, collaborating with the procurement and technical departments to qualify suppliers and ensure the quality of supplied materials.
Manage and optimize supplier quality systems, continuously monitor supplier performance.
Quality Documentation and Reporting
Prepare and submit PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) documents as required by customers, and track the progress and resolution of issues related to new products.
Maintain and update enterprise quality management system documentation, such as ISO9001 and ISO14001 certifications, ensuring compliance with relevant standards.
Internal Quality Control
Coordinate and address quality issues across supplier materials, incoming inspections, in-process inspections, and outgoing inspections, ensuring products meet customer requirements.
Collaborate with technical, engineering, and production teams to analyze and resolve quality issues during manufacturing, including Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA).
Regularly report the status of quality management to senior management, providing data for decision-making.
Customer Relations and Quality Services
Act as the factory’s external quality representative, addressing customer concerns related to product quality and continuously enhancing customer satisfaction.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with customers and team members to ensure seamless project communication and collaboration.
Team Management and Training
Manage and lead the quality management team, including internal quality system audits and product reviews.
Support the environmental, health, and safety management team in their duties.
Train the quality management team and technical staff to enhance their understanding and execution of quality systems.
Qualifications
Proficient in stamping, tube forming, machining, and other manufacturing processes.
Experienced in product quality planning, supplier quality management, and quality documentation preparation.
Familiar with ISO9001 and ISO14001 quality system certification standards and their applications.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with customers and internal departments.
Prior experience in quality management, supplier management, and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) is preferred.
Bilingual in Mandarin and English, with the ability to communicate effectively with the team in China.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $90,000.00 – $110,000.00 per year
