OWSI is in the process of adding a new Quality Inspector to our great team of manufacturing professionals. We are one of the oldest machine shops in Houston with a proven track record of success and excellence. Within our 30,000 square foot climate-controlled facility we manufacture parts and accessories for the oil/gas and aerospace industries. We are looking for a Quality Control Inspector to join our great team. CMM PROGRAMMING EXPERIENCE A PLUS!! **THIS POSITION REQUIRES THE ABILITY TO WORK IN A FAST-PACE ENVIRONMENT**
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Reviewing blueprints and specifications used in the manufacturing of finished goods.
Recording inspection results by completing reports, summarizing re-works and wastes, and inputting data into a quality database.
Keeping measurement equipment operating accurately by following calibration requirements and calling for repairs.
Performing first article, in-process, and final inspections of complex parts.
Performing line inspections/in-process inspections.
Record Keeping
QC Data Entry
Keeping track of daily needs of the company’s quality requirements.
REQUIREMENTS:
***MUST HAVE AT LEAST 7 YEARS QC INSPECTION EXPERIENCE IN PRECISION MACHINING ENVIRONMENTS***
Superior understanding and knowledge of engineering blueprints, tolerancing, and GD&T.
High levels of experience with (to include, but not limited to):
MANUAL HEIGHT GAGES
CALIPERS
MICROMETERS
BORE GAGES
ELECTRONIC MICRO-HEIGHT GAGES
MANUAL CMM
COMPARATOR
FIRST ARTICLE INSPECTIONS
FINAL INSPECTIONS
DECIPHERING CUSTOMER SPECIFICATIONS FOR MANUFACTURING/FINISHING REQUIREMENTS
Ability to operate effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced/stressful environment IS AN ABSOLUTE MUST!!!
Ability to multi-task, and must have great time management skills.
Must be able to work with effectively with minimal to no supervision.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 – $30.00 per hour
