Strong applicants would be able to design and implement system level process improvement initiatives for laboratory team members with a focus on education and TM engagement not limited to, training, competencies, onboarding, etc. Management and development of students, academic partnerships, and community outreach efforts. Heavy emphasis on team member development and mentorship both internal and external. Interdepartmental collaboration with various departments across the system as a representative of laboratory services. Must be intrinsically motivated to find opportunities and creative in pursuit of overcoming challenges. Must maintain bench competencies and knowledge of current technical practice.
Responsibilities:
The Lab Quality and Education Coordinator is responsible for:
Assuring compliance with all regulatory and accreditation requirements
Provides education and competency documentation
Implement and maintain the Laboratory Quality Improvement Program
Investigates, collects and analyzes data and communicates outcomes to improve patient care
Obtains accurate and timely compilation of laboratory data
Formats QA QI spreadsheets and maintains files and reports for laboratory administration
Develops education offerings, coordinates education activities, monitors team member compliance to mandatory training
Perform other duties as assigned
Experience:
Required: 4 years Clinical Related experience.
Education:
Bachelor’s in Clinical Laboratory Science or Related Field.
Credentials:
State of Florida License for Clinical Laboratory Personnel in Clinical Laboratory Technologist (Clinical Chemistry, Immunohematology, Serology, Microbiology and Hematology) or Cytogenetics. May be a Technologist or Supervisor in the listed Clinical Laboratory Personnel licenses mentioned.
