Job Description
The Quality Technician is responsible for interpreting engineering drawings and specifications to write and maintain programs. The role ensures the accuracy of Keyence programs, develops inspection programs, conducts inspections on broach cutting tools, provides system training, maintains equipment, and applies Quality System Regulations in compliance with Federal and International Standards.

Responsibilities
- Interpret engineering drawings and specifications to write programs.
- Ensure the accuracy of Keyence programs to meet dimensional tolerances.
- Develop and maintain inspection programs with revision control within a database.
- Effectively set up Keyence and optics machines.
- Complete first‑article inspection layout reports.
- Provide Keyence system training to Inspection and Machining personnel.
- Design and set fixtures as necessary.
- Facilitate regular Keyence maintenance and calibration activities.
- Apply Quality System Regulations and relevant Federal and International Standards.
- Perform inspections, checks, and tests on broach cutting tools based on defined criteria.
- Accept or reject finished products as required.
- Conduct and document process and system audits using written procedures.
- Accurately document inspection results.
- Maintain controlled document files timely and accurately.
- Monitor critical equipment and instrumentation to ensure proper operation and calibration.
- Evaluate problems and make initial recommendations for corrective actions.
- Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality control teams to provide feedback on production procedures.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in using measuring equipment such as micrometers, calipers, gauges, etc.
- Experience with quality control and mechanical drawings.
- Proficiency in Keyence and CMM programming.
- Strong communication, reading, counting, and math skills.
- Ability to pay close attention to detail and perform accurate work.
- 5+ years of Quality Control experience preferred.
Additional
Skills & Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Working knowledge of measuring instruments.
- Ability to read mechanical drawings.
Work Environment
This position is based in a large and growing company. The work involves working with Keyence and optics machines, measuring instruments, and regularly interacting with production and engineering teams. Contract to Hire position based out of Kenosha, WI.
Pay And Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 – $28.00/hr.
