Job Summary
We are seeking a Quality Technician to support laminator and press operations by ensuring that all incoming and internally produced materials meet established specifications. This role is responsible for conducting quality inspections and tests, accurately entering results into the appropriate databases, placing non-compliant materials on hold, supporting Autonomous Maintenance (AM) activities as assigned, assisting with laminator and press operational activities, and completing assigned corrective actions.
Important: A minimum of 1 to 2 years of quality experience in a production or manufacturing environment is required.
What you will do
- Verify package quality characteristics are within specification and record test results. Responsible for placing all noncompliant material on hold.
- Understand and follow all safety, quality, lamination and press procedures when near machines.
- Perform the assigned Autonomous Maintenance (AM) tasks in the lab and on machine, attend all AM meetings.
- Assure all material produced is within specification.
- Participate in World Class Manufacturing (WCM) team activities to eradicate losses in the process.
- Comply with the safety measures and the good manufacturing practices established for the area.
We believe you have
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Quality inspection and machine systems handling experience.
- 1 to 2 years of quality experience in a production/manufacturing environment is required.
- Basic machine maintenance skills.
- Intermediate computer skills.
- Dependability and reliability.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Basic math skills, basic reading comprehension.
- Ability to read, understand and comply with work directions, training manuals, safety rules, standard operating procedures and World Class Manufacturing processes.
Shift
- Hours: 12-hour overnight shift from 7 PM to 7 AM
- Work Pattern: Alternating between 36 hours/week and 48 hours/week, following a 2-2-3 schedule.
