As a Quality Technician, you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring our products meet safety and quality requirements. Your responsibilities will include conducting inspections, analyzing data, and collaborating with production teams. The Quality Technician is responsible for ensuring that all products manufactured, and services provided by Skyway meet all internal and external requirements.

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ability to work unsupervised.
First piece and In-process inspection of Prototype and Production products.
Generate Dimensional and Inspection documentation results and have the ability to determine compliance with Skyway and/or Customer requirements.
Conduct part layout and complete dimensional documentation for Customer PPAP submissions including Capability requirements.
Operate CMM.
Utilize alternative layout techniques as required to verify CMM results.
Must have basic knowledge of GD&T, Blueprint reading skills, and both Skyway and Customer specific Quality and Engineering Standards.
Basic knowledge of Statistical Process Control and data collection techniques required for data analysis.
Perform MSA and GR&R studies as required.
Basic knowledge of CNC Manufacturing techniques (Fixturing, Process, Cast Products).
Working knowledge of Word, Excel, and Minitab.
Use of micrometers, calipers, height stands, and profilometers.
Use of optical comparators, radius gauges, plug and thread gauges, bore and beam gauges.
Basic maintenance of gauges (cleaning, indicator exchange, setting, and verification).
Ability to use GAGEpack to track gaging and maintain Gage calibration records.
Perform production layer checks, line inspection, receiving inspection, STP, final inspection, and final shipping dock inspections as necessary.
Perform layered process audits as scheduled.
Support Compliance with Skyway Precision, Inc.’s Quality policies and procedures (IATF
16949 & ISO 14001).
Follow general safety rules and Company policies and procedures.
Perform Special Assignments as delegated.
