Four-day work week (Mon–Thu 7:30p to 6:00a) with $2.00 per hour shift premium

Precision Aerospace is seeking a Quality Technician to join our team and support our highly regulated aerospace manufacturing environment. This role is critical to ensuring the accuracy, compliance, and reliability of the precision-machined components we produce.

What You’ll Do:

  • Perform first article inspections (FAIRs) and complete associated documentation.
  • Conduct first piece, in-process, final, and incoming inspections.
  • Operate precision measuring equipment including micrometers, calipers, gauges, optical comparators, and coordinate measuring machines (CMMs).
  • Prepare and submit PPAP documentation.
  • Perform process audits and support corrective actions.
  • Review and document inspection results using JobBOSS, Unipoint, and other quality systems.
  • Help ensure compliance with customer requirements, AS9100 standards, and company quality procedures.
  • Cross-train across multiple departments and support continuous improvement efforts.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Machining experience is required — must understand machining processes, tolerances, and how to read blueprints.
  • Experience in a manufacturing quality role; inspection experience in non-manufacturing industries (food, packaging, etc.) is not applicable.
  • Strong blueprint reading and GD&T interpretation skills.
  • Experience using precision measuring equipment.
  • Experience operating CMMs; Zeiss Calypso experience is preferred.
  • Ability to perform basic troubleshooting on Zeiss/Calypso CMM platforms is a plus.
  • Knowledge of aerospace quality systems and AS9100 standards preferred.
  • ASQ Certified Quality Technician (CQT) certification is a plus.
  • Must be eligible to work with ITAR-controlled data and materials.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to focus on repetitive or complex tasks.
  • Working with precision measurement tools and interpreting technical drawings.
  • Reliable eyesight and ability to perform visual inspections to aerospace standards.
  • Excellent documentation habits in a controlled, compliance-driven environment.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and sit/stand for periods of the shift.

ITAR Requirement: Due to federal regulations, you must be a U.S. Citizen to be considered for this position.

Pay: $26.00 – $29.50 per hour
