Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
Assignment Length: 3+ Months
Overtime: Must be available for overtime, including occasional Saturdays
The Quality inspector candidate should have experience using precision measuring instruments, including calipers, snap gauges, pin gauges, and rulers. Experience with a vision inspection system is preferred. This position is primarily responsible for performing incoming inspection of raw materials and components to ensure compliance with established specifications and quality requirements
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Quality Technician II with a strong background in medical device manufacturing and quality inspection. This role is responsible for ensuring products meet quality and regulatory requirements through inspections, audits, documentation review, and process support. The ideal candidate has experience working in a regulated manufacturing environment and can work independently while collaborating with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Quality teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform inspections, audits, testing, and sampling to verify product quality and compliance with SOPs, specifications, and regulatory standards.
- Review and approve production and lot history records for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
- Verify document revisions and review production documentation for accuracy.
- Support and occasionally lead equipment, process, and method validation activities.
- Conduct process and system audits and document findings with recommendations.
- Investigate quality issues, perform root cause analysis, and recommend corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Write and update inspection procedures, work instructions, and quality documentation.
- Monitor calibration and maintenance status of inspection and test equipment.
- Identify, document, and escalate nonconforming products or processes.
- Partner with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Quality teams to troubleshoot issues and drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Associate degree or technical degree preferred.
- Additional coursework in quality systems, auditing, or inspection methods is a plus.
- 3–5 years of manufacturing experience required.
- Experience in medical device manufacturing, regulated environments, or quality inspection strongly preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and inspection requirements.
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong documentation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and effectively in a team environment.
