As a Quality Technician you will conduct dimensional inspections and documentation verification of purchased components to ensure compliance with all required quality and performance standards.
Responsibilities include:
Conducts dimensional inspections of purchased components and raw materials.
Performs First Piece inspection reports.
Verifies the accuracy of material certificates and test reports from suppliers.
Assigns internal heat codes to materials received from suppliers.
Performs when required any of the in-process inspections and tests carried out in the assembly process, including positive material Identification tests, hardness tests, paint thickness tests, hydro tests, visual examinations of welds and others as required.
Performs when required weld Liquid Penetrant test examinations to level I.
Other duties assigned.
Experience required:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
Three years of related experience in a manufacturing environment.
Strong attention to detail and ability to detect defects in products.
Must be able to interpret basic blueprints specifications, diagrams, and other written instructions.
Strong visual abilities: able to visually identify defects, annual vision exam required.
Experience using calipers, micrometers, thread gauges, hardness testers, optical comparators, thickness testers, XRF analyzers and others.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
