Work across early, afternoon, and night shifts on a 3-week rotation

Pay Rate: £13.23

We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a skilled Automotive Quality Technician to support quality processes within a

fast-paced

manufacturing environment. This role is essential in driving the resolution of both internal and external quality concerns, ensuring compliance with automotive standards, and supporting production teams in delivering high-quality components to customers.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the investigation and resolution of quality issues affecting internal processes or

customer satisfaction

.

Ensure all working and master samples are validated and available for production reference.

Issue, track, and enforce Quality Alerts, ensuring containment and corrective actions are implemented effectively.

Identify and implement both temporary and permanent solutions to quality problems.

Conduct or verify audits on products to ensure compliance with specifications.

Support the resolution of customer concerns during shifts and visit customer sites as required.

Assist in line trials and validate outcomes against quality expectations.

Complete Global 8D reports with support from multifunctional teams.

Support operations and production teams, including first-off part verification.

Preferred

Skills and Experience:

ONC (or equivalent) in Quality/Control Techniques or Engineering.

Strong working knowledge of FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) and control plans.

In-depth understanding of IATF 16949 and ISO 9001 automotive quality standards.

Experience with

process and product auditing within an automotive setting.

Familiarity with metrology equipment and techniques, including X-Rite colour measurement.

Understanding of APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning).

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.

Effective communication

skills at all levels of the organization and with external customers.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project).

Accurate data analysis and reporting skills.
