Summary:
The Quality Control Inspector B works with production personnel to ensure production and shipment of quality products. This involves inspecting parts during receipt of material, in-process and final inspection, communicating errors, and recording test data. The Quality Inspector lends strong attention to detail to support the inspection of electronic and mechanical parts.
Responsibilities:
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs inspection tasks utilizing a wide variety of test instruments and inspection measuring equipment.
Determine acceptance, identify non-conforming material and generate inspection rejection reports in accordance with the established standards and procedures.
Responsible for generating inspection documentation, status sheet and daily reports, as required.
Obtain additional on-the-job-training on to become the back-up for the single point failure modes in the some of the inspection areas and specific Quality Control tasks.
Qualifications:
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or accredited GED
2 years experience in Inspection of electronic parts
2 years use of measuring tools: Micrometers, Microscopes, and height gauges
Proficient in utilizing Microsoft Office Suite
Familiar with inspection of solder, printed circuit, hybrid electronics and final assemblies.
Certified in J-STD-001 and Space Addendum, or IPC-A-610.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
This position requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware that is controlled by either ITAR or EAR U.S. export laws. As a condition to this job offer, in order to be employed in this position, you must be able to obtain an U.S. Government export license(s), as required by law.
Hourly Rate: $31.15. This is a union position.
