Position Overview
This role conducts independent audits of key production and service areas to ensure compliance, effectiveness, and continuous improvement across operations.
Required Skills and Experience
- Bachelor of Science degree in Quality Management or a related field, with emphasis on Lean Manufacturing and ISO Auditing is desirable, but not a requirement for this position
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and related software applications
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Candidates who possess relevant experience, demonstrate knowledge, and the right skill set will be considered
Exposure Warning and Working Conditions
May have respiratory or skin exposure to various chemicals used or manufactured throughout the job site
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Train new employees on the basic Quality Program
- Develop and conduct detailed process and procedural audits for:
- Chemicals & Plastics Warehouses
- Fibers Warehouses
- CMD Operations & Shipping
- Polymers Operations & Shipping
- CESP Operations & Shipping
- Baling Cleaning
- Cleaning Services
- Stores
- Tool Room
- Trucking
- Construction Crafts, as needed
- Communicate effectively with all levels of employees
- Train employees on quality-related topics and issues
- Work independently with minimal supervision after training
- Create and maintain forms using Microsoft Office applications
- Serve as a resource for quality-related topics
- Generate cost-saving ideas and improvement opportunities
- Assist service areas with problem-solving, root cause failure analysis, and other quality techniques
- Comply with all safety regulations and procedures applicable to a chemical plant environment
- Maintain regular, reliable attendance and flexibility to work varied shifts and/or overtime as needed
