Fire and Gas Detection Technologies, Inc. is looking for a hands-on Quality Technician to join our growing Anaheim team. In this role, you will have a direct impact on product quality, manufacturing performance, and customer satisfaction.
This is more than an inspection position. You will work closely with Quality, Production, Engineering, and Supply Chain to investigate issues, improve processes, analyze quality trends, and strengthen our Quality Management System.
What You’ll Do
- Inspect incoming components, work-in-process, assemblies, and finished products
- Verify products against drawings, specifications, work instructions, and acceptance criteria
- Use calipers, micrometers, gauges, multimeters, and other inspection equipment
- Identify and document defects and nonconforming material
- Support root-cause investigations, corrective actions, and continuous improvement
- Analyze rejection, scrap, rework, and supplier-quality data
- Prepare inspection reports and maintain accurate, traceable quality records
- Support internal audits, Gemba walks, calibration activities, and audit readiness
- Partner with Production, Engineering, and Supply Chain to resolve quality concerns
- Help improve inspection methods, manufacturing processes, and quality procedures
- Handle electronic components and assemblies using proper ESD practices
What We’re Looking For
- Two to five years of quality inspection or quality technician experience preferred
- Experience in electronics, electromechanical, or regulated manufacturing
- Ability to read engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, tolerances, and bills of materials
- Experience using precision measuring and electrical test equipment
- Working knowledge of ISO 9001 and quality-management systems
- Strong attention to detail and accurate documentation skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Experience working with ERP, QMS, or document-management systems
- Clear communication and practical problem-solving abilities
An associate degree or technical certificate in Quality, Electronics, Manufacturing, Engineering Technology, or a related field is preferred. Relevant hands-on experience may be considered in place of formal education.
