Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Quality Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that our products meet the highest quality standards. We have openings on 1st & 2nd shift! 1st shift runs 6am – 2pm, Monday through Friday. 2nd shift runs 2pm-12am, Monday through Thursday!
Experience:
1 – 3 years
Duties
- Interpret blueprints and tolerances- HD OEM and Tubular
- Accuracy level required > 99%· Able to assist operators and supervisors in print requirements
- Verify products – In-process Customer returns Receiving inspection, etc.
- Recordkeeping- all completed inspections documented by end of shift each day
- Efficiency – 0 late deliveries reported as a result of quality process
- Accuracy level required > 99%
- Disposition all nonconforming material and assure it is properly contained identified by end of shift each day
- Gages
- Proficient with all lab gages – CMM, Romer, OC, hand gages, etc.
- Able to calibrate all gages and accurately record results
- Assigned gage calibrations completed on time – 100%
- PPAP submissions
- Able to accurately evaluate product against customer specific requirements
- Required accuracy rate expected > 99%
- Safety
- Responsible for following all OSHA regulations and HP Safety Practices
- Promote safe practices in lab – 0 incidents near misses
- Production support
- Ability to problem solve assist production in a hectic environment
- Works overtime as required to support production
- Contribution to department
- Provides a minimum of 1 suggestion for improvement per quarter
- Waste reduction
- Process change
- Safety concern
- Attains no more than 5 attendance points during the previous 12 month period
- Ability to pass Basic, and Advanced blueprint testing within 90 days.
