JOB DESCRIPTION: Quality Technician
General Summary: The Quality Technician is chiefly responsible for assisting in maintainng compliance with and improving our quality systems (international, industry, and customer-specific standards, environmental standards, etc.). Additionally, document control duties such as requirements to identify, store, protect, retrieve, retain, and disposition system documents and records as per ISO-9001 and TS-16949.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Assist in maintaining compliance to international, industry, and customer-specific quality standards.
· Assist with leading and maintaining the internal audit processes.
· Maintain Master Document and Responsibility Metrics.
· Audit and update documents, as needed, then process for re-approval.
· Maintain legible, readily identifiable, relevant versions of applicable documents at point of use.
· Receive and process request(s) for documents.
· Update documents and create templates.
· Maintain public accessible and controlled archive records on the server.
· Train employees on records management procedures and policies, which include documentation, retention, retrieval, destruction, and disaster recovery.
· Assist with file migrations and audits, and perform administrative tasks as needed.
· Maintain Deviation and other QMS-related records for accessibility.
· Other duties as assigned.
COMPETENCIES:
· Be a change agent and drive positive change; be a natural organizational leader.
· Must be expertly proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and MS Outlook (email).
· Experience with other corrective action and problem-solving techniques a plus.
· Displays effective interpersonal skills sufficient to build positive, productive, and effective professional working relationships with customers and employees.
· Skill in finding information, locating travelers, and performing correct data input.
· Strong attention to detail.
· Ability to self-motivate and work through information gathering with little supervisory input.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Experience with ISO document control.
· High volume manufacturing environment experience
· Advance knowledge of English to read and write
· High School or G.E.D. equivalent required.
