Quality Technician – 3rd Shift Jobs in Grand Haven, MI at GHSP
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
Ensure the quality produced in series production
Ensure the use of quality improvement programmes and monitoring the product quality and scrap rate: error analyses, Continuous Improvement Process (Scrap Problem Solving), tracking remedial and improvement measures as specified by the QM
Draw up and implementing local BU quality standards in coordination with BU Production Quality (quality-related work instructions, list of limit samples, etc.)
Advise and train the technical departments in all matters relating to quality
Assist the technical department with customer audits for the Business Unit, incl. monitoring the remedial measures
Initiate and coordinating the 8D process, incl. the associated internal documentation and the customer portals
Train the production team in quality related issues, i.e. use of SAP QM, work instructions, quality philosophy etc
Report KPIs in the assigned area
Carry out audits (multi-shift audits, process audits, 5S audits, LPA, etc.)
Assist the technical department with PFMEA
Other duties, as assigned
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Quality Assurance, or a related field; or equivalent work experience
Proven experience in quality engineering or a related role in a manufacturing or engineering environment
Familiarity with quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001) and regulatory standards
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with proficiency in statistical analysis tools
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
