Position
Summary
Reporting to the Quality Lead, the QA Technician plays a crucial role in maintaining the highest standards of Food Safety, Quality, and Legality within the plant and laboratory areas. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, capable of performing basic lab tests using company-provided instruments, and committed to quality.
Responsibilities
Perform production record reviews
Commit to producing quality products
Report any quality issues or non-conformances to supervision
Receive and release raw materials based on QC testing and documentation review
Conduct testing on finished goods and HACCP-related CCPs
Verify product codes and collect samples from production lines
Verify daily/weekly sanitation procedures
Adhere to company policies and Good Manufacturing Practices to ensure customer satisfaction and safety
Wear appropriate PPE and comply with safety policies
Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
High School diploma or GED
Minimum 2 years of related experience or training, or equivalent
Ability to perform microbiology and chemistry lab tasks with chemicals
Knowledge of Good Laboratory Practices and Good Documentation Practices
Ability to read, analyze, and write reports, perform basic math calculations
Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and committed to quality
Capable of working under pressure and meeting deadlines
Problem-solving skills involving variables in standardized situations
Previous experience in food manufacturing and analytical roles is a plus
Proficiency with MS Office programs is a plus
Ability to work in a warm or cool industrial environment
