POSITION AVAILABLE:

QUALITY TECHNICIAN

Summary: Quality Technicians are responsible for making sure all thermoformed products meet a set of predetermined quality standards and are within appropriate measurement specifications.

Inspect and measure products by confirming measurements are within appropriate specifications and conduct a visual test.

Report identified issues to the production team and Supervisor.

Make appropriate decisions regarding quality holds to ensure customer expectations are met.

Document and update the periodic inspection results by completing reports and logs.

Perform periodic finished product quality control inspections and report results to the Quality Supervisor.

Maintain a safe work environment by following standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations.

Physical Demands

May be required to stand for extended periods of time.

May involve some repetitive motions.

The employee may reach above shoulder heights or below the waist and lift as required to file documents or store materials throughout the workday.

Must have the ability to lift 50 pounds and use proper lifting techniques.

May also engage in frequent bending, stooping, pushing and pulling of boxes.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required:

Understand manufacturing methods and procedures.

Ability to use, read and understand results of tape measure and gauging tools.

Ability to add/subtract fractions in order to determine if a measurement is within required specifications.

Ability to work in a team environment.

Ability to work at a fast pace and maintain the accuracy of your quality checks.
