As our business continues to expand, we are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Control Technician to join our team in Hickory, North Carolina.
Position Summary
The Quality Control Technician will be responsible for conducting inspections and testing of raw materials and finished products to ensure compliance with customer specifications and internal quality standards. This role is critical to maintaining product quality and supporting efficient manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform dimensional inspections and verify product tolerances.
- Conduct laboratory and quality testing, including:
o FTIR (Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy)
o Tensile testing
o Visual and physical inspections
- Accurately record and report test results.
- Complete quality inspection reports and production documentation.
- Identify and report non-conforming materials or products.
- Assist with investigations into quality issues and corrective actions.
- Maintain testing equipment and ensure work areas remain clean and organized.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the Quality department.
- Work closely with Production and Operations teams to ensure quality standards are met.
Qualifications
- Previous quality control or manufacturing experience preferred.
- Industrial or manufacturing background beneficial but not essential.
- Ability to use measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office.
- Ability to follow procedures, specifications, and testing requirements.
- Good communication skills and a positive team-oriented attitude.
