Job Description
Job Title: Quality Management System (QMS) Supervisor
Department: Quality
Reports To: Manager, Quality Operations & Engineering
FLSA Status: Exempt
ROLE PURPOSE
The QMS Supervisor will be responsible for coordinating and leading all external compliance audits related to the Asurion TLC facility.by managing the team responsible for technical documentation and ensuring compliance in Operations through layered process audits, change management, and deviation requests.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead, coordinate, and perform activities associated with Asurion’s Quality program.
Develop internal Quality policies and procedures as required.
Oversee disposition of Process Change requests.
Participate in ISO and Six Sigma initiatives.
Lead or participate in Quality Planning processes.
Participate in and lead Quality improvement activities to provide technical assistance.
Review and approve TLC deviation requests.
Attend and participate in Quality and Operations meetings to represent the Quality team.
Assist in developing work instructions, job aids, and/or other training materials.
Create and submit deviations for process changes as required.
Develop higher level knowledge in Asurion systems (SharePoint, DAX, PowerBI).
Develop higher level knowledge in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Collaborate across departmental boundaries as required.
Assume responsibility for technical accuracy and completeness of all Quality documents.
Conduct internal audits to correctly document and resolve non-conformances.
Ensure compliance with all required processes and procedures is documented.
Conduct Internal Audits and work to resolve documented Non-conformance items.
Develop training documentation for end-users.
Gather and incorporate end-user feedback for QMS and training documentation.
Analyze existing and potential content, with a focus on reusing and decommissioning documents that are no longer relevant or in use.
Lead external compliance audits for surveillance, recertification, and new certifications.
Assume responsibility for the technical accuracy and completeness of all project documents and related technical publications.
Responsible to lead, grow, and develop the current QMS team.
Other duties as assigned by Manager, Quality Operations & Engineering.
SUPPORT FUNCTIONS
Evaluate and make recommendations regarding QMS document hierarchy and structure.
Drafting new documents, updating current documents, identifying obsolete documents, making recommendations for their disposition, etc.
Leverage knowledge of the SCM organization to create standardized documentation.
Program-Level Playbooks, Global Specifications, Standard Operating Procedures, Work Instructions, Deviations, Quality Alerts, etc.
Lead projects focused on defects, UPH/UPLH, and cost improvement regarding QMS processes.
Schedule, plan, and lead internal audits from Planning through Verification of Corrective Action.
Review the Internal Audit Calendar and work with the Internal Auditor to meet all due dates.
Support Quality ISO Leads to drive the accuracy and completeness of all QMS documents.
Manage materials to document Quality Management System processes.
Specifications, Standard Operating Procedures, Deviations, Quality Inspection Guidelines, Quality Alerts, etc.
QUALIFICATIONS
Associate’s Degree; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
Education level combined with job specific related experience may be considered.
Must have 5+ years of Quality experience in an ISO 9001 or ISO 16949 environment.
Excellent computer skills including a proficiency in all MS Office applications and familiarity with other tools such as Web usage, Adobe, Adobe Acrobat, and HTML, etc.
Proficiency in Visio and SharePoint is a plus.
Knowledgeable of Technical Standards and Operating Procedures.
Strong presentation, analytical and customer service skills complimented by an aggressive solution-oriented track record.

Strong process development, facilitation, and organizational skills.
Preferred experience in various types of distribution and logistics centers.
Preferred experience in the wireless industry or contract electronics manufacturing.
