**Title: Quality Technician I **
Location: Hauppauge, New York
Duration: 8 months (“Extension possible”)
1st Shift – Fully Onsite 7am – 3:30pm
Potentially convert to FTE
Job description:
The Quality Technician I is responsible for supporting the business with QA activities to ensure nonconforming products are not produced and shipped to customers. A critical function to provide inspection support as well as process improvements to sustain and improve product quality.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Works with team to provide audits and inspections on product quality according to Zebra’s quality-assurance processes
- Assist with conducting nonconforming materials investigation and report to Zebra’s authorized vendors as appropriate
- Engages management and team members as required for assistance in addressing new or complex issues.
- Works with team to support new product quality plan implementations.
- Ability to understand technical requirements, delivering output following learned technical framework.
Job Requirements:
Preferred Education: High School or equivalent
Preferred Work Experience (years):0-3 years
Key Skills and Competencies:
- Ability to learn technical information.
- Fluent level of English (written and verbal)
- Beginner level skills in Microsoft business applications including Word, Excel and Outlook
- Ability to work in fast-paced, multi-task environment
- Solid professional work behaviors (attendance, teamwork, time management)
