What To Expect
The Quality Technician will work closely with Quality Engineering to provide reports, charts, graphs, and anything else needed to define, measure, analyze, improve, and control product and process quality from their respective shops. You must have electro-mechanical attitude, the ability to meet tight deadlines, have strong interpersonal and communication skills, be detail oriented and be able to both take direction and work independently.
Technicians will flag parts / processes found to be suspect or nonconforming, remove from remanufacturing line and support engineering with containment activities through clean point to ensure Tesla standards are being met. You must be prepared to escalate concerns to the appropriate party and always promote a culture of quality. The Quality Technician minimizes the number of defective parts sent downstream and assists multiple teams in maintaining and improving part quality, yielding beneficial results and higher efficiency for Tesla.
What You'll Do
Document & communicate any identified defects. Perform daily inspections, audits and escalate concerns that are not being properly resolved in your immediate work area
Provide daily production support on quality concerns and develop and implement short/long-term countermeasures to quality problems while maintaining operation efficiency. Guide production teams to properly define final disposition of parts and components
Educate the stakeholders on a Quality culture by sharing best practices, providing on the job training, and communicating updates and changes related to quality
Perform Fault injections on the line to determine effectiveness of inspections
Adhere and promote strict 5S standards and maintain cleanliness in the work area
Work from schematics, diagrams, layouts, defined plans, and written/verbal instructions & maintain quality performance metrics and drive issues to root cause solutions
Perform Incoming quality control on received goods and escalate in case of supplier non-compliance
What You'll Bring
Experience in an automotive production or manufacturing quality assurance environment
Understanding of electro-mechanical products and assembly processes is a strong plus
Ability to visually detect defects in a fast-paced environment & identify and differentiate between several defect types
Ability to determine severity of a defect and the required response as well Ability to determine potential countermeasure solutions against failed inspections
Ability to perform detailed daily record keeping and reporting of quality issues that will be referenced by technicians, engineers, and management
Experience with basic measurement and inspection tools is a strong plus (DMM, Calipers, Torque Wrenches, Gauges etc.)
Ability to work on a 3 shift schedule
Eligibility to work in the Netherlands (EU citizenship or valid work permit) is required
