Job Description

The LEO Office of Human Resources is looking for a new team member! Come join a group of service minded individuals who support the many bureaus and activities within the Department of Labor and Economic Opportunity. This position will serve as the department’s Reasonable Accommodation Coordinator (RAC), serve as a liaison with the Disability Management Office and assist the HR Director with special projects.

Ideal Candidates Will Have

  • A strong understanding of the laws related to accommodations, medical leaves and other related protections.
  • Ability to explore and consider accommodations for LEO employees and management that meet both operational requirements and provide an effective solution.
  • Ability to effectively analyze medical documentation, position descriptions and other relevant information when making decisions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Position Description: Human Resources Analyst

This position will have the option for a hybrid schedule with remote work (up to three days per week) with two days a week in the Lansing office, typically Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Occasional travel or in person work on other days may be required.

Required Education And Experience

This position generally requires the education acquired through possession of a bachelor's degree in any major. Specific information on the education and experience required for different class levels is in the job specifications of the Human Resources Analyst class.
