Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Engineer to join our International Business Unit – Pass Thru Division. In this role, you will be responsible for development of new product, root cause and preventative analysis, and on-going development of continuous improvement methods and programs. In this role, you must provide strong leadership skills and communication skills, both within and outside the department.
Responsibilities
Scheduling of new part testing, ensuring completion, and providing data, along with other documentation, to customer for new part approval.
Creating concepts for part gaging and tools/jigs for performance testing.
Checking new trial parts and supporting customer onsite builds as needed.
Supporting supplier with control Plan and PFMEA (potential failure modes and effects analysis).
Implementing preventative controls to prevent future claims.
Performing new part process audits and follow-up on concern points found.
Meeting with customers as needed to support new model activities.
Communicating customer and critical internal concerns/claims to affected suppliers and all SRK groups.
Leading 3I-3A (immediate investigations) including containment activity when issues occur.
Working directly with customers and suppliers to address any questions/concerns from initial concern notifications through countermeasure closure.
Actively participating in return part analysis, root cause investigation, and countermeasure development.
Reviewing and taking action on all internal issues that are reported on a daily basis.
Reviewing process changes to ensure proper verification activity and special controls are implemented. Working with customers on process change approvals.
Developing and maintaining Key Quality Check documents for use lineside,.
Developing training for associates.
