Considering our 2030 vision of Total Quality Management (TQM), the Regional Quality in Distribution (QiD) Manager will be in charge through training, audits, and advice to deploy distribution quality management related standards across Asia and Pacific logistics network. The position is essential to represent multiple markets in APAC of Quality in Distribution and Traceability as interface with the QFS and supply chain regional / global teams. It will support projects deployment in his/her area of expertise.

Key Responsibilities

Lead with local and regional SC team the deployment & implementation of quality standards relative to logistics operations (Transport, warehousing, Disposal…) within Royal Canin distribution network based on the Distribution Quality Management (DQM) standard and EMQM secondary co-packing related activities (Audits, risk assessment, performance review, …) operated in APAC region. Report to RC / Mars Global QFS team on the status of compliance of the applicable QFS Standards. Support local and regional teams in specific areas of QMP deployment if required such as pest control initiatives.

Generate and follow up KPI data to evaluate the quality system performance and participate in the regional management review or other performance reviews within the region.

Continuously track and update the quality performance of each LSP, evaluate DQM by each LSP and each Market and co-pilot a continuous improvement plan to target a full compliance on DQM standard within market distribution network.

Participate in the selection of the new logistics services providers or secondary copackers performing a Q&FS pre-assessment and giving a Q&FS GO / NO GO before the signature of the contract.

Share with regional supply chain manager to agree on deployment roadmap for any new project, ease deployment and provide Q&FS guidelines.

Support initiatives within distribution to strengthen our traceability and Hold and Release capability through audits, mock exercises, best practices sharing, advice and supporting projects deployment.

Support and guide local distribution related incident investigation, review the reliability and validity of the root cause analysis, governance LSP’s action implementation and preventive action to prevent recurrence of same incident.

As part of the global QiD community, share experience with the other members to improve ways of working. Lead regional QiD CoP and train local supply chain team capability on QiD and secondary co-packing relevant subjects.

Qualifications

Knowledge of quality and Food Safety management system and RC distribution related standards, procedures and governance rules

Experience in auditing (internal and external) is required, an external auditing certification is an advantage

Minimum 5 years in QFS and/or Supply chain experience

Fluent English (reading, writing and speaking), ability to work in a multi-cultural environment
