We are an Established Nationwide Commercial Roofing Company, currently seeking a seasoned roofing veteran who is safety conscious and is willing to learn safety for a quality and safety position. You will be part of our energetic, hard-working team of professionals in the Nashville, TN area.
Job Description
Reports to the Corporate Safety Director and will assist in a variety of activities including but not limited to:
Job site safety inspections to detect safety code violations, hazards and incorrect practices and procedures.
Job site quality inspections to ensure roof quality is up to manufacturer standards codes.
Ensure pre-warranty inspections walk through are completed.
Document and take pictures of all jobs requiring corrections.
Consults with managers on trouble situations at various branches.
Prevention of injury, illness, as well as property/environmental damage.
Help to identify areas that require safety or quality focus and assist in developing/implementing policies, procedures and strategies to address those areas.
Effectively assist in the management safety and loss prevention programs.
Ensure and enforce compliance with applicable OSHA (and state OSHA) regulations to prevent citations and penalties.
Process periodic reports regarding:
Safety and quality compliance.
Safety and quality training.
Specialized training documents – i.e. Equipment, Drug Free.
Assist in all accident investigations when requested.
Other responsibilities as assigned.
Preferred qualifications:
Minimum five years commercial roofing experience.
Demonstrated understanding of safety compliance for the following (and not limited to):
Right to Know.
Drug Free Workplace.
Familiarity with CFR 1926, with an emphasis on Fall Protection.
Proficiency in MS Word and Excel.
Must be detail-oriented.
Strong communication skills – (verbal, written, and interpersonal).
Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks.
Ability to work cooperatively as part of a team as well as independently.
Ability to travel to multiple operating districts and company locations as required – 50-75% travel.
