Summary
This role will have responsibility for quality reviewing life service requests across our operations team. The role will include Quality Assurance (QA) of new business, post issue and call center. This candidate will have consistent communication with our TPA partner and will also support projects related to oversight and continuous improvement initiatives. Successful incumbent will partner closely with operational teams, product, compliance, marketing, and key vendor partners.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for performing QA on processed new business applications, post issue transactions (financial & non-financial) and incoming phone calls
Ensures timely and accurate responses to meet our SLA objectives while providing a positive customer experience
Assists in reporting all QA reviews and metrics to leadership on a monthly cadence
Performs root cause analysis on failed QA cases to determine any process gaps or training opportunities
Partner with TPA QA team to support with any questions. Additionally, attend monthly meetings with TPA to discuss variances and goals of the QA workstream
Aids the Operational TPA Oversight Manager in the analysis of QA to ensure items are prioritized as needed
Consistently acts professionally in all interactions while utilizing effective written and verbal communication skills

Education and/or Experience and Skills
2-3 years of experience in life insurance with 1-2 years specialized focus on Quality Assurance (QA)
Prior experience working directly with a TPA provider
Demonstrated knowledge of operations and process improvement along with strong business acumen and the ability to translate business plans into actionable solutions
Knowledge of life products; term, whole, universal, adjustable and variable
Experience analyzing, measuring and evaluating data through reporting
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, at all levels of the organization
Ability to effectively interact/interface with external parties – TPA partners, customers, and vendors
Utilize strong critical thinking skills in order to effectively problem solve
Skills must include being self-motivated with ability to show great initiative individually
