Duties & Responsibilities: Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.
Manage controlled documents system. Collect, review, archive, and post various quality documents including departmental work instructions, procedures, forms, and specifications (customer, supplier, SEC, and SESA). Update, maintain, and ensure these important documents are active and available.
Update specifications to SEC templates. Review customer specifications and Oracle specifications to ensure consistency across platforms. Flag differences and ensure reviews are made by Sales, TS&D and Quality. Initiate Change Control Authorizations for related changes. Ensure documents provided by customers are filed and retained for reference.
Respond to customers’ quality self-audits and surveys.
Support maintenance of quality control database and archiving.
Schedule CCA/NPL launch meetings, noting action items and sending follow up emails after the meetings.
Review active Change Control Authorizations (CCA’s) and activate “special review” feature where needed in Oracle for deeper analysis of QC results related to open CCA’s and NPL’s. Engage with appropriate parties when red flags are found in this review.
Work on QARs, Abnormal Conditions and Customer Complaints to investigate root cause, and help to establish corrective action and preventative measures.
Assist in continuous improvement initiatives as needed.
Assist in conducting internal audits to ensure QMS requirements are met.
Dedicate significant time to review and update documentation, ensuring SESA is up to standards for audits.
Perform other duties as assigned by manager.
Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in business, science, engineering, or related field preferred.
5 years’ experience in a key quality management systems role in a manufacturing organization required.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Thorough knowledge of quality management systems, related business systems, and production processes.
Strong organization skills and attention to detail.
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to write and execute procedures.
Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and in groups and be self-motivated in both settings.
Capable of proactive approach to identify and eliminate potential problem areas.
Work Environment:
This position operates primarily in a professional office environment.
The role routinely uses standard office equipment.
Physical Demands:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
