Full Job Description
Job Purpose
Support the Quality Assurance department with related functions in SAP, the facility’s ERP system, with a focus on incoming ingredient review, finished good hold and release, finished good and ingredient traceability, and data entry for finished products. Support the Quality department in developing and implementing quality-related functions for the facility.
Essential Functions
Review and release incoming ingredient COAs within SAP
Monitor and update finished goods and ingredient holds in SAP
Complete daily SAP transactions
Complete traceability exercises for finished goods and ingredients in SAP
Lead efforts to maintain accurate records in SAP system
Manage SAP discrepancies, working with warehouse and production
Participate in inventory audits as needed
Participate in customer and GFSI audits as SAP subject-matter expert
Participate in facility internal audits
Participate in facility investigations to identify root cause of non-conforming material; maintain non-conforming material log and update as non-conforming material is held or released
Comply with all food safety requirements, training, policies, and procedures
Perform other job-related duties as assigned
Qualifications (Education, Experience, Competencies)
Minimum 2-year post-secondary education in a technical field or quality-related program or equivalent work experience; bachelor’s degree in a scientific field preferred
Prior quality assurance and SAP experience preferred
Knowledge and experience in general food safety and quality programs
HACCP certification and PCQI certification preferred
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail, completeness, and accuracy
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
Self-motivated, quality driven, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment
