Production Quality Assurance is expected to perform these tasks on an as needed basis. In addition, they may be asked to perform tasks that are not listed below, dependent upon the needs of the company.
Bi-Lingual strongly preferred
Ensures Company’s SOP, cGMP and PPE policies are adhered to.
· Maintains a safe and clean work environment.
· Ensures the product at every stage throughout fill production, assembly and packaging meets quality standards.
· Works closely with quality production line leaders to ensure lines are running efficiently and properly.
· Key roles of a Production Quality Assurance are;
o Reviews job folder prior to start of job and addresses any issues or concerns.
o Ensures the completion of line clearance before and after each job.
o Provides standards and standard images (when applicable) to the line for reference.
o Reviews fill specification sheet for all proper approvals and general understanding.
o Verifies the first pieces produced on the line to ensure they are fully correct and meet the specification outlined in the fill specification sheet.
o Obtain samples per required on the fill specification sheet.
o Performs and documents critical product tests to be sure the product meets the requirements.
o Notify the proper management of quality concerns relating to components, product, or filled units.
o Stop a production line if the product quality is not being met.
o Communicate with line operators and quality production line leaders to work together to resolve confusion or concerns.
o Ensure overall quality on the floor and ensure all good manufacturing practices are followed.
o Other duties as assigned.
Requirements to Perform Job Responsibilities/Duties:
· Good communication skills in English and Spanish. Bi-Lingual strongly preferred
· Attention to detail.
· Quality Mindful
· Knowledge of production equipment.
· Basic math skills including adding, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
· Time management skills, and multitasking ability.
· Prior experience in production or manufacturing.
· Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
· Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices.
· Reliable, dependable, excellent attendance and willing to work hours required. Production Quality Assurance should show up 30 minutes before the start of the shift to prepare for the day and stay 30 minutes later after the end of the shift to close the folders or catch up with paperwork IF NEEDED.
Qualifications.
Education and /or Experience.
High school diploma or GED minimum.
Language Skills
Must be able to read, write, communicate and understand English. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, packaging instructions and customer documents. May be required to speak before groups of employees and customers. Bi-lingual; Preferably.
Mathematical Skills.
Must be able to pass a basic math test if requested.
Reasoning Ability.
Ability to apply safety, quality and practical business sense to resolve production issues that may arise during daily production.
Computer skills.
To perform this job successfully an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office and basic computer skills. Within a couple of months all packaging execution will be done thru an automated execution system and will require basic computer knowledge.
