Qualifications
The Quality Manager will demonstrate leadership in communicating business goals, programs, and processes for an area or business segment. The Quality Manager will utilize experience or expertise to solve problems, develop and execute objectives for self and others, and have the ability to effect short-term and some long-term business goals.
Job Responsibilities
Support Quality Director and Plant Manager on strategic and tactical program management and implementation needs
Compliance owner for all internal/external Quality System audits;
Prioritize and implement multiple concurrent process improvement projects, alone or as part of a multifunctional team, to drive customer satisfaction and business productivity.
Analyze production and service limitations, then develop, implement, and evaluate quality assurance process sampling systems, procedures, and statistical techniques to track the progress of improvement efforts.
Manage New Product development teams to approve new suppliers of materials/ services used in product realization; work with Sustaining Engineering and Manufacturing Engineering to resolve quality issues related to existing suppliers.
Conduct training on quality assurance concepts and tools.
Collect, organize, monitor and distribute information for the Company and to customers / suppliers related to product quality and process improvement.
Specify, develop and accept advanced technology, quality information and test equipment.
Provide advanced quality engineering of new product introduction involving new processes or advanced automated equipment.
Act as consultant (as a recognized authority) to the quality, manufacturing and engineering organizations to improve Quality and Manufacturing processes, introduce new products and improve process design.
Train and provide ongoing leadership of assigned personnel to meet schedules, quality and measurements, and organizational goals
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or college with at least 5 years of professional work experience. ASQ CQE or equivalent is preferred.
At least 5 additional years of experience in a quality role.
Familiarity with ISO9001 quality standards
Quality planning experience.
Geometric dimensioning & tolerance, drawing interpretation, and familiarity with regulatory specifications.
Prior experience in areas of quality assurance such as: DOE, FMEA, SPC, RCCA, control plans, material control, process control, systems performance, product evaluation.
Ability to conduct internal and external quality audits to recognize improvement opportunities and work with stakeholders to identify and implement effective CA/PA plans.
Six Sigma training and the ability to apply statistical methods to analysis of engineering problems is preferred.
Ability to comprehend technical documentation.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $110,000.00 – $125,000.00 per year
