Join our dynamic team at Kin-Tech, a leading precision machining company. We serve the Defense industry, playing a crucial role in producing components that support the Navy Nuclear Propulsion program.
We are currently seeking a Quality Control Inspector to join our team at our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility. As a Quality Control Inspector, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our products meet or exceed the quality standards that our customers have come to expect.
Responsibilities:
Conduct inspections of products at various stages of the manufacturing process to ensure compliance with quality standards
Use a variety of measuring tools and equipment to perform inspections, including calipers, micrometers, and gauges
Review documentation related to production processes to ensure accuracy and completeness
Identify and document any non-conforming products or processes, and work with production teams to implement corrective actions
Communicate with production teams and management to ensure that quality standards are understood and followed
Participate in continuous improvement activities to improve product quality and process efficiency
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or vocational training in quality control preferred
At least 3 year experience in dimensional inspection, ideally in a job shop environment
Knowledge of quality control standards and methods, including statistical process control, is preferred
Experience using measuring tools and equipment, such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
Proficiency operating a programmable CMM
Must have a thorough understanding of GD&T per ASME Y14.5
Formal training or certification preferred
Understanding fundamental machining concepts and operations
Strong independent time management skills
Ability to communicate technical information verbally and in writing
