We are seeking a proactive QA Automation Engineer with specialized knowledge in automation frameworks and test practices.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality standards of our products by designing and implementing automated tests, identifying and documenting defects, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement and innovation in our testing processes.
Your next challenge
Test Automation: Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright mainly based on TypeScript language to ensure efficient and comprehensive test coverage.
Test Planning & Execution: Design, develop, and execute (manual & automated) test plans (all types) based on business requirements and functional specifications.
Continuous Integration: Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline to ensure seamless and timely feedback on code quality.
Defect Management: Identify, document, and track software defects, and collaborate with development teams to ensure timely resolution.
Performance Testing: Conduct performance, load, and stress testing to identify potential bottlenecks and ensure system robustness.
Quality Metrics: Analyze and report on key quality metrics, providing insights and recommendations to drive continuous improvement.
Best Practices: Share best practices with the development team to prevent flaws.
Documentation: Create and maintain detailed test documentation, including test cases, test procedures, and test reports.
Collaboration: Work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements, provide feedback, and ensure the delivery of high-quality software.
Your skills
Hold a bachelor degree or Master in Computer Science, IT or a related technical field
Proven experience in automated testing with Playwright or similar tool
Proficiency in programming/scripting languages (e.g., TypeScript) used in test automation
Prior experience in a similar role within an Agile environment and knowledge in Manual testing
Solid understanding of test practices, software development lifecycle, and QA methodologies
Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude towards continuous learning and development
Ability to quickly adapt to new tools, technologies, and testing approaches as needed
Be fluent in English and French is considered an asset
Asset
Basic knowledge of databases and SQL Server
Prior experience using Playwright tool
Good knowledge of Azure DevOps Test Manager and hands-on experience using TFS
ISTQB or equivalent certification in software testing is an added advantage
