Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts for web, API, and backend applications.
Build and enhance automation frameworks using Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or similar tools.
Automate regression, functional, integration, and end-to-end test scenarios.
Perform API testing using tools such as Postman, Rest Assured, or Karate.
Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitLab, or similar tools.
Analyze test results, troubleshoot failures, and ensure stability of automation suites.
Create and maintain test plans, test cases, test data, and test reports.
Collaborate closely with Developers, Business Analysts, Product Owners, and Scrum teams.
Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
Perform SQL/database validation and backend testing.
Identify, log, track, and verify defects using Jira or similar defect management tools.
Support release validation and production testing activities.
Mentor junior QA engineers and promote automation best practices.
Insurance Domain Responsibilities
Validate insurance workflows including
Policy Administration
Claims Management
Underwriting
Billing & Payments
Renewals and Endorsements
Customer and Agent Portals
Understand insurance business rules, compliance requirements, and transaction processing logic.
Collaborate with business stakeholders to ensure accurate validation of insurance products and processes.
Support testing of integrations between insurance platforms and third-party systems.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Technical Skills
5–8 years of experience in Software Testing with strong Automation expertise.
Hands-on experience with
Selenium WebDriver
Playwright or Cypress
TestNG / JUnit / Cucumber (BDD)
Java, C#, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Python
Strong API testing experience using Postman, Rest Assured, SoapUI, or Karate.
Experience with SQL and database validation.
Knowledge of Git, Maven, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or similar CI/CD tools.
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Experience with test management tools such as Jira, Zephyr, TestRail, or ALM.
