HX5 is currently seeking a Manufacturing Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team in support of the Mobility and Training Aircraft Program Office at Wright Patterson Air Force Base.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
This position supports the Mobility and Training Aircraft Program Office and will demonstrate an understanding of DoD acquisition processes.
Assist in developing and accessing defect prevention strategies and processes for development, production, and deployment of hardware.
Perform Quality Assurance (QA) analyses to ensure hardware systems acquired by the USG can be produced by controlled manufacturing processes at manageable risk to cost, schedule, or user satisfaction.
Support quality audits to include hardware audits
Assist in hardware quality evaluations by disassembly, inspection, and testing of a representative unit of production to the assembly level.
Must have a minimum of 5 years Government Acquisition experience.
Education and Experience
Must have one of the following combinations of education and experience.
Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited school and fifteen (15) years of related experience.
Master’s degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited school and twelve (12) years of related experience.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position requiring 40 hours per week and offers a flexible work schedule Monday through Friday during core business hours.
Other Position Requirements:
Proof of U.S. Citizenship or US Permanent Residency is a requirement for this position.
Must be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation.
Must be able to obtain a Secret clearance.
Must be willing to travel, including air travel.
