Job Title: Senior Engineer – Core Engineering.

Job overview/Purpose of the Position:

The Senior Engineer, Core Engineering supports the execution, monitoring and continuous improvement of engineering processes within Global Technology.

The role contributes to a structured, evidence-based and high-quality product design process across all KK sites, with focus on platform development and own intellectual property development. It supports the implementation and use of engineering standards, governance, requirements management, design quality assurance, systems engineering practices and digital engineering solutions.

The role helps ensure consistent and controlled engineering execution, improving gate readiness, design quality, visibility and evidence-based decision-making while reducing rework and late engineering changes.

As an individual contributor, the Senior Engineer identifies issues, supports improvements and escalates risks or decisions when required.

Area of responsibilities:

  • Support execution of Core Engineering initiatives across Global Technology.
  • Support monitoring and control of the product development process, including process adherence, gate readiness and action follow-up.
  • Collect, structure and analyze engineering process data to support evidence-based decisions.
  • Prepare input for engineering reviews, gate meetings and improvement discussions.
  • Support design quality assurance by checking availability and quality of required engineering evidence, documentation, standards and templates.
  • Support requirements management, systems engineering and process excellence activities.
  • Support adoption of digital engineering practices and tools across engineering teams.
  • Identify process gaps, unclear responsibilities, missing templates or inefficient ways of working.
  • Propose practical process improvements and support their implementation.
  • Maintain and update process documentation, templates, checklists and guidance material.
  • Support training material creation and communication of process updates.
  • Follow up on agreed actions, improvement items and critical issues within assigned scope.
  • Collaborate with global stakeholders to ensure consistent process execution across sites.
  • Escalate issues, risks or decisions where ownership or authority is outside the Senior Engineer role.

Competencies (e.g. technical skills):

  • Good understanding of engineering design processes and product development ways of working.
  • Ability to support structured process execution, follow-up and documentation.
  • Basic understanding of requirements management, design quality assurance, systems engineering, process excellence and digital engineering tools.
  • Experience with one or more of the following: ALM, PLM, project management, engineering change management, Lean/Six Sigma, design thinking.
  • Ability to analyze information, identify gaps and propose practical improvements.
  • Good stakeholder coordination and communication skills.
  • Ability to work across teams, functions and sites in a global environment.

Additional information:

  • Fluent in written and spoken English.
  • Occasional business travel may occur, depending on business needs.

Educational Qualification Required:

  • Engineering degree within mechanical, electrical, mechatronics or similar technical discipline.

Relevant Experience Required: 4 to 6 Years.

  • Practical understanding of product design and engineering execution.
