Role Overview
We are looking for result-oriented Quality professionals to manage In-Process Quality Assurance (IPQC) in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The role focuses on process control, defect prevention, audit compliance and continuous improvement, aligned with IATF and Integrated Management Systems (IMS). This position requires strong analytical skills, hands-on shop-floor involvement and the ability to drive cross-functional quality initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
In-Process Quality Assurance
- Monitor and control in-process quality through defect analysis and corrective actions
- Ensure all materials and processes comply with defined Quality Plans and specifications
- Perform stage-wise inspection (In-process, Final, and Pre-Dispatch Inspection – PDI)
- Verify dimensional, visual, and functional characteristics as per customer standards
Non-Conformance Management
- Identify, segregate, and control non-conforming materials (in-process & finished goods)
- Maintain NC reports and ensure proper documentation and traceability
- Lead/coordinate Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and CAPA implementation
- Ensure effectiveness validation of corrective and preventive actions
Process Audits & Compliance
- Conduct Process, Product, and Layered Process Audits
- Ensure adherence to SOPs, Work Instructions, Control Plans, and IMS requirements
- Participate in internal and external audits (IATF 16949, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001)
- Ensure audit readiness and closure of non-conformities
Data Analysis & Continuous Improvement
- Analyze rejection, rework, and scrap data; drive reduction initiatives
- Use quality tools (SPC, 7 QC Tools, Pareto, Fishbone, 5 Why, 8D)
- Improve process capability and reduce variation
- Lead/participate in Kaizen, Lean, and continual improvement projects
Reporting & Performance Monitoring
- Prepare and submit daily/weekly/monthly MIS reports
- Present quality performance to management with actionable insights
Track KPIs such as:
- Internal rejection %
- Rework & scrap cost
- Process capability (Cp/Cpk)
- Customer complaints
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Collaborate with Production, Engineering, Maintenance, and Supply Chain teams
- Participate in QCRT (Quality Concern Resolution Team) for customer complaints
- Drive closure of customer issues with structured problem-solving approach
New Product Development (NPD) Support
- Support APQP activities and new product trials
- Conduct application trials and validation checks
- Ensure readiness of quality systems for new launches
Team Handling & Training
- Train operators and inspectors on quality standards and checkpoints
- Guide QC team for process adherence and improvements
- Build quality awareness culture on shop floor
Required Knowledge
- In-Process Quality Control (IPQC)
- SPC & Statistical Analysis
- 7 QC Tools, 8D, CAPA, 5 Why, Fishbone
- Lean Manufacturing / Kaizen
- Integrated Management Systems (IATF 16949, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001)
- Manufacturing process control in Printing/Automotive industry

Qualifications & Experience
- Engineering Graduate with minimum 3 Years of relevant experience in “In-process Quality”.
Additional Requirements
- Hands-on experience with SAP (preferred)
- Exposure to customer audits and OEM requirements is an advantage
- Willingness to work in a plant/shop-floor environment (shift-based if required)
