We Are Hiring: Senior External Auditor (Riyadh)
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior External Auditor to join our Riyadh office. In this role, you will lead and manage external audit engagements across a diverse client portfolio, ensuring full compliance with applicable accounting and auditing standards while delivering high-quality, value-driven outcome.
The Senior External Auditor will lead and execute external audit engagements from planning through to completion, including reviewing financial statements and assessing internal control environments. The role involves performing risk assessments, designing effective audit procedures, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality audit work. In addition, the individual will supervise, mentor, and develop junior team members, review working papers to maintain audit quality standards, and communicate audit findings and recommendations to clients in a clear and professional manner. The position also requires close coordination with client management to resolve issues in a timely manner and ensure deadlines are met, as well as contributing to engagement budgeting, client relationship management, and business development initiatives.
Qualifications
- Strong technical knowledge of IFRS and ISA, with proven experience leading external audit engagements for diverse clients.
- Demonstrated skills in risk assessment, internal control evaluation, and audit planning, including designing appropriate audit procedures.
- Proficiency in using audit and accounting software, working with spreadsheets, and handling data analytics tools for audit testing.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and report-writing skills, with the ability to explain complex issues clearly to clients and team members.
- Experience supervising audit teams, coaching junior colleagues, managing deadlines, and prioritizing multiple engagements.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; a professional qualification such as CPA, ACCA, SOCPA, or equivalent is strongly preferred.
- Previous experience as an external auditor in a professional services firm, ideally at senior or semi-senior level, preferably within the region.
- High level of integrity, attention to detail, and commitment to audit quality, with the ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment.
- Fluency in English required; Arabic language skills are an advantage.
