Richeese Factory is seeking an experienced and results-driven Head of Operations to lead and oversee all restaurant operations across Malaysia. This strategic leadership role is responsible for driving operational excellence, business growth, profitability, customer satisfaction, and people development while ensuring consistent execution of the brand's standards.
The ideal candidate possesses extensive leadership experience within the Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) industry, with a proven track record of managing multi-unit operations, scaling businesses, and delivering sustainable operational performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the overall operations of Richeese Factory restaurants across Malaysia, ensuring consistent execution of operational standards and brand excellence.
- Develop and implement operational strategies that support business expansion, profitability, and long-term organizational objectives.
- Drive sales growth through effective execution of operational initiatives, customer experience enhancement, and commercial excellence.
- Monitor and improve key performance indicators (KPIs), including sales, profitability, labor productivity, food cost, inventory management, customer satisfaction, and operational compliance.
- Establish a strong culture of operational discipline, accountability, continuous improvement, and high performance across all restaurant locations.
- Ensure full compliance with food safety, hygiene, quality assurance, health & safety, and all applicable regulatory requirements.
- Lead, coach, and develop Regional Managers, Area Managers, and Restaurant Managers to build a high-performing operations team.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional departments including Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance, Human Capital, Quality Assurance, and Business Development to ensure seamless execution of business initiatives.
- Support new restaurant openings, operational readiness, and market expansion initiatives.
- Analyze operational data and market trends to identify improvement opportunities and implement best practices across the business.
- Manage operational budgets and optimize resource allocation to maximize efficiency and profitability.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, Operations Management, or a related discipline. A Master's degree is an advantage.
- Minimum 12–15 years of progressive leadership experience within the Quick Service Restaurant (QSR), Fast Casual, or Food & Beverage retail industry, with at least 5 years in a senior operations leadership role.
- Proven experience managing multi-unit restaurant operations with responsibility for business performance across multiple regions or nationwide.
- Strong understanding of restaurant operations, food safety standards, customer service excellence, inventory management, workforce planning, and operational compliance.
- Demonstrated success in driving sales growth, operational efficiency, profitability, and organizational transformation.
- Strong financial acumen with experience managing operational budgets, P&L, labor productivity, and cost optimization.
- Excellent leadership, coaching, stakeholder management, and people development capabilities.
- Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence stakeholders across all organizational levels.
- Experience supporting restaurant expansion, business scaling, and change management initiatives is highly preferred.
- Willingness to travel extensively across Malaysia as required.
Preferred Experience
- Strong operational leadership experience with leading international or regional Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) brands.
- Experience in franchise operations and company-owned restaurant management.
- Proven success in leading large, geographically dispersed operations teams.
- Experience in Southeast Asian markets is highly desirable.
