The Senior KYC Analyst s a key player in ensuring compliance with Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Financial Crime regulations through comprehensive due diligence and risk-based decision-making. This role involves leading complex periodic reviews of client documentation, managing high-risk escalations, and offering expert guidance to internal stakeholders. As a senior member of the team, the Analyst contributes to the development of internal procedures, mentors junior team members, and plays a crucial part in enhancing the organization’s defenses against financial crime, money laundering, and terrorist financing.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct periodic KYC refresh reviews, ensuring compliance with procedural, policy, and regulatory requirements within defined SLAs.

Review and approve SBARs, KYC exceptions, and risk-based approach requests related to the refresh process, ensuring alignment with compliance standards.

Manage complex escalations involving high-risk cases, and decide whether further escalation to senior management or compliance teams is necessary.

Oversee complex policy exceptions, managing requests from Associates/Analysts in the refresh function.

Offer expert compliance guidance to internal teams such as Sales, QA/QC, and Transaction Monitoring (TM) on refresh cases.

Deliver training and coaching on complex compliance topics to both internal and external stakeholders.

Support the development and upskilling of Associates and Analysts through training, shadowing, and growth opportunities.

Assist the Refresh Manager in implementing process improvements and driving continuous efficiency enhancements within the refresh process.

Participate in client-facing compliance discussions with Sales teams, providing insights on complex cases.

Collaborate with senior compliance leaders (e.g., DMLRO, MLRO) on intricate investigations and periodic review topics.

Monitor the quality of high-risk reviews and escalations, identifying training needs and opportunities for process improvement.

Prepare and present clear, accurate management information (MI) to senior stakeholders, highlighting key insights.

A strong interest in compliance, KYC, and AML regulations; 3-4 years of experience in AML/KYC preferred.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
